ISO 17025 Accredited Laboratory
Our laboratory is proud to announce that we have officially received accreditation under ISO 17025, one of the most prestigious certifications in the DNA testing industry. This means that we have exemplified technical competence in all calibration and testing activities and have met the stringent standards set by the International Organization for Standardization.
As one of the first few full-service private DNA paternity testing laboratories in North America to receive this accreditation, it demonstrates our commitment to providing premium DNA testing services to our clients. The scope of our accreditation includes human DNA testing services for verifying identity in paternity cases, claimed biological relationship matters, and civil and criminal investigations. This is the product of an intensive effort to establish a world-class quality system that meets or exceeds the requirements of ISO 17025.
AABB Accreditation
Genex Diagnostics is an AABB-accredited DNA testing facility, the result of intensive on-site assessments by specially trained AABB assessors who verify that our level of medical, technical, and administrative performance within the facility meets or exceeds the standards set by AABB. This means that we join the limited and distinguished set of Paternity Testing Laboratories in the United States and abroad that have earned AABB Accreditation.
The AABB’s accreditation procedures are voluntary, but Genex Diagnostics has sought AABB Accreditation because this program assists facilities around the country in achieving excellence by promoting a level of professional and medical expertise that contributes to quality performance. AABB Accreditation is the designation of choice for paternity testing laboratories because it demonstrates an organization’s commitment to advanced learning, continuous improvement, and innovation by striving to sustain the highest possible level of patient and donor care. AABB-accredited organizations are recognized by their peers as leaders in their field and as pivotal voices in the dialogue through which consensus-based, voluntary standards are developed and implemented.
CAP Paternity Testing Proficiency Program
Our testing laboratory is proud to participate in the Paternity Testing Proficiency Program of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). The program includes rigorous laboratory proficiency testing three times each year, which ensures that we are providing accurate and reliable results for our clients. Additionally, the complete DNA fingerprint and laboratory data is provided for every test, which further demonstrates our commitment to transparency and quality. By participating in this program, we are able to maintain the highest standards in the industry and provide our clients with the best possible service.
